Throughout this literature review paper research will help address current pay inequalities, the inequalities of leadership positions, and stereotypes among women within the workforce. Though many feel the inequalities of women within the workforce have improved today, which they have compared to 5 to 10 years ago, there still needs to be major adjustments. This research is needed to pinpoint what is necessary and who, what, when, where, why, and how is to blame. It is not always the organization to blame for these inequalities or stereotypes between women within the workforce. Women themselves must be looked at as a contributing factor as well. Why? Because woman tend to feed off what others are â€Å"insinuating† about their gender/sex,†¦show more content†¦According to Mazur (2013) â€Å"a literature review is more than just summarizing the literature; it requires the researcher to critically analyze and synthesize the literature so that new knowledge and in sights emerge† (p. 2). Because the inequalities of women in the workforce are still an existing matter today, organizations must step in and women should stand up for what is just and legitimately right. Research Questions The aim of this research is to examine current studies on the inequalities of women in the workforce. It will address what changes are being made within the workforce or if it is at a stand still. Throughout this research it will reflect a well in-depth process, which will present a noble scripted and extensive literature review. The literature review will answer these three research questions: 1. What are the pay inequalities among men and women in the workforce? 2. How the inequalities of leadership positions affect women in the workforce? 3. How do stereotypes affect women within the workforce? These research questions were determined by the needs of this research and the studies that surfaced ongoing issues. Due to the inefficiencies of diversity platforms among the workforce, further research is needed to decide why inequalities among woman are still present.

In schools, an area of increasing debate and discussion has been student cell phone use. Are they helpful or useless? Should they be allowed or not? No school has really found the answer to these questions yet. In 1994 her father migrated to the United States to be with her mother and her. She is the oldest of three, she has a younger brother who is 18 years old and a little sister who is 11 years old. She was born in the United States, but spent some time in the Dominican Republic with her grandmother. Her grandmother passed away in 2012 from colon cancer, it was one of the hardest things that the family has ever dealt with. The person who took it the hardest was her grandfather, he started drinking more than he has drank before which caused him to suffer several brain seizures. According to the New York Times, using a phone while operating a vehicle puts drivers at four times the risk of crashing as other drivers. A 2003 Harvard study estimated that 330,000 car accidents occurred in the United States with moderate and severe injuries among the victims as a result of cell phone use. Another 2,600 cell phone related accidents resulted in a death (Richtel 1). The problem is that most drivers over estimate their ability to multi-task. Their consciousness is quickly divided as soon as their attention is focused on things other than the road. Distracted driving is not just limited to cell phone use while driving. It can include behaviors such as shaving, eating, drinking, talking, or even listening to the radio. With these behaviors, both hands may not be on the wheel, eyes may not be fixed on the road, or attention could be transfixed on other noises and surroundings. I really don’t think that they truly understand the danger that they are putting themselves or other drivers in. Although a drive thru may be a faster and more convenient way to pick up supper, eating while driving can be very dangerous.When digging through your fast food bag, you have to take your eyes off of the road; this can result in swerving or wrecking into another driver. Another example of why eating and driving is dangerous is that when you drop a piece of food or some type of condiment on you, your first instinct is to remove it or wipe it up. Again, this can result in taking your eyes off of the road and possibly crashing. If so, just think about the effects that would cause if you were watching a video while driving. There are many ways this form of distraction can affect you while operating a vehicle. For example, you only need to take your eyes off of the road for a split second in order to cause an accident or fall victim to an accident. The person in front of you may have hit their breaks to stop from hitting the little girl crossing the road to get the ball, you are watching a video and do not see them hit their breaks, you hit them going 55 miles an hour and they are pushed into the little girl.I know this is example is gruesome but, it is also very possible. Remember when driving to stay focused on the road and what you and other drivers are doing. I personally do not want to be the cause of an accident and I doubt any of you do either, so please people pay attention. That burger can wait until you get home and so can the movie, but most importantly, a text or phone call is not as important as a life, and whoever calls, if needed will call back.
